Kavat Care, who operates ten nursing homes in the Stockholm area, chose to switch their supplier of consumables to ABENA thanks to ABENA’s solid product expertise and experience in public healthcare.
Even though all of Kavat Care’s facilities have their own unique profiles (for example, language-focused, nature-inspired, or hotel-style themes), there was a shared desire to have a unified purchasing solution. The goal was to save time and create a sense of reliability in everyday operations.
Ongoing support and training
The collaboration began with a small order of gloves but quickly expanded to include other product categories such as toilet paper, hygiene articles, cleaning supplies, and incontinence products. ABENA supported the transition with close, local assistance - particularly through product specialist Helena Skarp, who provided training sessions and offered product samples for staff to test to ensure proper use.
Ongoing evaluation and future ambitions
Kavat Care is now planning an internal evaluation of the collaboration to further improve operational efficiency, with the aim of making ABENA their long-term partner. Aferdita Morina, purchaser at Kavat Care, recommends the collaboration not only because of the products but also because of the strong relationship: “Someone who solves everything.”
